Remember the 4-week-old infant that I helped rear? Well, it's six years later, and the times, they have a-changed. This is really happening: Angiepymy can't breathe.

[IRL] Announcements

1.    Good news! Now we may comment freely (again). Angiepymytu descended into the bowels of "advanced" (read: hidden) blogger settings and eliminated the unwelcome presence of Google+ from this exclusive blogging soirée. Paranoia, be gone! 2 .     The blog now uses Disqus which is better anyway for several reasons. One benefit is that, if we wish to migrate VP to Wordpress or (less likely now) to the post-Yahoo! Tumblr, then all our comments and other data clutter are entirely - and easily - portable. 3 .     W e have ourselves a new domain name , which was 100% free via  this cool thing . Just another step forward in the great migration away from Google ! No trail of tears here. (There might be blood.) [Some further reading on the new  shared endorsements in advertisements  feature of Google+ and on Google's troubling  use of pixel tags .] Signed with a grain of sea salt,

In the foreground, one of them holds a sign that asks, “Do we look undocumented?”  In April 2013, the Chicano Caucus collaborated with Teachers College and several organizations from the School of International and Public Affairs to create a collection of photographs that tells the story of the illegal immigrants in America, which came to the second floor of Casa Hispánica on Oct. 15. [attempting] a serious post

so, obviously I'm still awake.  I decided to map where my dad lives again.  I hadn't realized how close he lives to the water (LI sound); it just seemed like generic CT to me.  Shows how much I know!  His town is right on the water and right across the water from Montauk.  There is a direct, 1-hour ferry between Montauk and New London.  When we were in Montauk in July, I finally realized how it was closer to New England than anywhere else (mind blown).  Now this adds a whole new level of Montauk weirdness.  The fact that my mom and I always had a special connection to the place, etc.  Probably doesn't mean anything...but it's hard to wrap my head around.  Also, Montauk becomes a legit quasi-halfway spot where we could meet for the first time.  Part of my hesitation to go forward with this has been the lack of a "neutral" spot to meet.  And wouldn't it be nice, by the beach?  Of course, this is all fantasy right now.
