❤❤ Japanese 狆 Chin ❤❤

Image
I just became aware of this breed. All the following text is taken from Wikipedia verbatim. Enjoy. The Japanese Chin is the dog of Japanese royalty. The distinctive Oriental expression is characterized by the large broad head, large wide-set eyes, short broad muzzle, ear feathering, and the evenly-patterned facial markings. The coat is low maintenance, long and smooth/silky to the touch. This breed is considered one of the most cat-like of the dog breeds in attitude: it is alert, intelligent and independent, and it uses its paws to wash and wipe its face. Other cat-like traits include their preference for resting on high surfaces such as the backs of sofas and chairs, their ability to walk across a coffee table without disturbing an item, and some of the surprising places their owners often find them in. "OK OK OK...so....maybe this is just the weed talking...but do you ever get the  feeling that we're secretly cats? cuz, like, you never know. know what i mean?...

Ásatrúarfélag (do the RandomFactoidDance)

Perhaps unique to Iceland is the fast growing Ásatrúarfélag, a legally recognized revival of the pre-Christian Nordic religion of the original settlers. According to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Reykjavík, there were only approximately 30 Jews in Iceland as of 2001. [32] The First Lady of Iceland Dorrit Moussaieff is an Israeli-born Bukharian Jew.

De como Athena tumbó a Rachel

Winter Storm Brutus: Why We Named It Winter Storm Athena: Why We Named It [Athena knocked me down the Subway steps this morning. It's true.] NEW YORK — Winter Storm Athena, which stymied recovery efforts from Superstorm Sandy, pulled away from New York and New Jersey Thursday, leaving a blanket of thick, wet snow that snapped storm-weakened trees and downed power lines, but didn't appear to add much more to the devastation. More winds are expected through Thursday and commuters may have to brave lingering snowfall. "We aren't out of the woods yet in terms of the winds of this system," Tom Niziol, winter weather expert for The Weather Channel, said Thursday morning. "Once again, I want to reiterate that without Sandy, we may not have named this storm. However, one of our main reasons for naming events is societal impact. With so many people still under recovery efforts -- even well inland -- the combination of heavy, wet snow and wind prompted the decisio...
