Congratulations on being admitted into the COHOP 2007 orientation
trip! Get ready for four days of hiking through the gorgeous
Catskills Mountains of upstate New York.
Your coordinators, Kate and Lauren, are busy planning your trip this
summer. You will be placed into a small group depending on what
level of difficulty you signed up for and your personality. (yay
personality!)
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
1. Move-in
Wednesday August 22, 7AM-3PM
At 3PM, all three COÖP programs will meet on South Lawn for fun
times with your upperclassman leaders, and that is when you will
bid adieu to your parents.
2. Leave for the trip!
Thursday August 23, EARLY
3. Gloriously return to the city
Sunday August 26, Afternoon
We're going to have food and more fun for you when you get back.
Also, here's a sweet packing list.

If something is not on the list, you don't need to bring it. You
don't need to spend bajillions of dollars on equipment from
Patagonia, etc. We're going to be selling some useful items on the
COÖP website later this summer for great, perhaps even unbeatable
prices. Also, there are certain things that we would prefer you
left off the trail. Namely, cellphones, watches, iPods, books,
hunting gear, valuables in general, drugs, extra food. If you have
food allergy concerns, email us. COÖP is about making bonds with
other Columbia students, so keep that in mind when you're packing.
We hope you are as excited as we are, and we'll be working all
summer to make sure that your very own COÖP trip this fall is as
amazing as it can possibly be ever.
