here are my prime takeaways...
ReplyDeletePATTI SMITH IS WRITING A DETECTIVE NOVEL? PATTI SMITH IS WRITING A DETECTIVE NOVEL? PATTI SMITH IS WRITING A DETECTIVE NOVEL?
PATTI SMITH said [and i'm paraphrasing here] "We are masters of our own fate.... As much as I can, as much as I can afford, I keep ticket prices down."
PATTI SMITH is involved with the NOAH film because:
• patti likes to write lullabies
• the bible "has everything"
• patti read the noah story "as a child in bible studies"
• darren's telling the story with "an environmental slant" and patti is "concerned about our environment, about what industrialists are doing to it"*
*instead of being concerned about what the pop stars are doing these days (except rihanna's song STAY is a good one, no matter that she's naked/bathing in the music video. it's touching and beautiful.)
PS the Little Women reference from the NY Mag summary did not go unappreciated!
