to sleep, perchance to stumble

Image
Inadvertently I stumbled (back) upon stumbleupon , which has totally rebranded itself to fit in with this age of content curation (as opposed to the practice of drunken stumbling, nearer and dearer to our hearts). Behold: MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD WORKED ON FIRST CLICK! We're talking 5+ year old shit. These are the things that I found: Also, just wanna share the first two pages that SU sent me to after I spent 5 years ditching it: The beautiful Quijote interactive edition , whose existence I was made aware of as a student of Castilian (and which therefore I never pursued). zombie font , where you can "say it in zombie". nuff said.

Since rice was precious in ancient Japan (usually, millet was eaten), it was eaten only during the celebration. Sekihan is the tradition of an ancient custom. The celebration is kept a secret from extended family until the rice is served.  In Australia , the Aborigines treat a girl to "love magic". She is taught the ways of womanhood by the other women in her tribe. Her mother builds her a hut to which she confines herself for the remainder of her menses. The hut ...

[IRL] Announcements

1.    Good news! Now we may comment freely (again). Angiepymytu descended into the bowels of "advanced" (read: hidden) blogger settings and eliminated the unwelcome presence of Google+ from this exclusive blogging soirée. Paranoia, be gone! 2 .     The blog now uses Disqus which is better anyway for several reasons. One benefit is that, if we wish to migrate VP to Wordpress or (less likely now) to the post-Yahoo! Tumblr, then all our comments and other data clutter are entirely - and easily - portable. 3 .     W e have ourselves a new domain name , which was 100% free via  this cool thing . Just another step forward in the great migration away from Google ! No trail of tears here. (There might be blood.) [Some further reading on the new  shared endorsements in advertisements  feature of Google+ and on Google's troubling  use of pixel tags .] Signed with a grain of sea salt,
